Allocation of Extra Time: Extra time provided to students is fifteen minutes when it is a one-hour paper, thirty minutes in case of a two hour paper, and forty-five minutes if it is a three hour paper. Moreover, extra time can be provided where student has to do extensive writing like when sitting for an English literature paper.
Utilization of Amanuensis: If the situation is such that additional time allowance will not help in improving the situation then the student is allowed to utilize an amanuensis. Amanuensis is another pupil who has lower academic standard as compared to the student. The same kind of arrangement can be made when the student is appearing for a practical exam.
Reading of Paper: If the student has reading disability or defective eye sight then it is possible that the question paper will be clearly read out to the student. However, it will not be explained to the student in any form.
Exam from Hospital: If the student wants to give the exam from hospital then these conditions should be applicable. This type of arrangement should be pre-approved by ICSE council, student will have to submit a medical certificate that confirms necessity for such concession, there should be satisfactory invigilation that is provided at the time of exam and details of the invigilator should be provided to ICSE council at the time request is made for such provision.
